Audi Plans for the Future
Audi has published new details on its future product plans that include the introduction of several new vehicles such as brand`s first full hybrid model based on the Q5. In particular, 2010 will see Audi launching a series of new cars like the A1 premium supermini, the A7 based on the Sportback Concept, the new A8 limo and the R8 Spyder.

Boeing Laser Demonstrator Program
Boeing has accepted the Oshkosh Defense military truck that will carry a Boeing-built laser beam control system for the U.S. Army`s High Energy Laser Technology Demonstrator (HEL TD) program. Boeing received the Oshkosh Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) on December at the Oshkosh facility in Oshkosh, Wis.

The Boeing 747-8 Freighter successfully took to the sky for the first time, on a test flight that began in Paine Field in Everett and ended at the same location just over three-and-a-half hours later. The aircraft underwent tests for basic handling qualities and engine performance.

Siemens First Class 380
Siemens has shown the press the first of Class 380s that are being constructed for ScotRail, at their Krefeld works. The class 380s will be delivered to the UK between September 2010 and March 2011. The Class 380 will be fully compliant with crashworthiness standard EN 15227 - designed to improve protection for staff and passengers.

Husqvarna will use the Bauma trade show to give its new DXR250 demolition robot its formal European launch. The DXR250 weighs in at 1,620 kg (3,564 lb), has a working reach of 4.5 m(14.8 ft) and has a power rating of 18.5 kW (25 hp), although a 22 kW (29.5 hp) version is available.

A new four-model tractor range that aims to combine the best features of two top-selling Landini models was unveiled at LAMMA 2010 show. The Landini 5-H Series consists of four models powered by four-cylinder Perkins engines with outputs from 74hp to 102hp. This new range replaces the current Vision and popular Powerfarm tractor.

They will be showing the Spectrum scanner, a radar system, the CPH and FMC cameras and the pan and tilt zoom camera. Hitachi Construction China Sales to Double
Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Asia’s second-largest excavator maker, may double sales in China this quarter, beating its forecast as the nation’s spending on railroads and mining fuels demand. The company’s excavator sales in China, the world’s largest and fastest growing market may surpass 3,500 units during the three months ending March 31, compared with 1,774 a year earlier.

US Investments in High Speed Rail
The US government has committed US$ 8 billion from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for the development of high speed rail in the US. The bulk of the funding will go to new, large-scale programmes. Mr LaHood, Secretary of transportation, confirmed that US$ 1.25 billion will be used to develop a 140 km long high speed rail corridor in Florida between Tampa and Orlando.

Mazda appoints CEVA as Distributor in Italy
CEVA Logistics has signed a three-year agreement with Mazda for the management of the distribution of spare parts throughout Italy. CEVA will collect the spare parts from Mazda`s warehouse in Klagenfurt, Austria on a daily basis and transport them to the CEVA centre at Bentivoglio, near Bologna.
