Korean bus manufacturer Hyundai launched its second generation hydrogen fuel cell bus during the Seoul Motor Show. Based on the most recent Low Floor Aero City bus platform, this fuel cell electric bus features a bunch of technical refinements, making it capable of hitting the 100km/h maximum speed mark.
The use of three 100kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors will also come in handy, offering a grand total of 300kW of propulsion which results in a 33% improvement in top speed. Compressed hydrogen fuel will be stored on the roof, spread across half a dozen cylinders pressurized to 350 bar (5000 psi) that offer the bus with an operating range of 360km in city mode.
