Wednesday has witnessed the grand opening of Britain`s greatest construction industry trade show, SED 2007. One of the biggest stands belongs to JCB, UK`s number one construction equipment manufacturer.
At SED they introduce the VMT 160, a totally redesigned twin drum ride-on vibrating roller. The most impressive development is the incorporation of high capacity fuel and water tanks enabling the VMT160 to outperform the competition in terms of productivity.
In the compact sector of JCB`s product offering, the recently upgraded range of JCB Robot skid steer loaders make a welcome return to the stand. The all-new Series II range consists of five wheeled skid steers, including JCB`s first ever 820kg capacity model, and three new compact tracked loader variants. The full line up includes the JCB range of market leading mini excavators ranging from the ever popular 1 tonne 801 to the largest machine in the mini excavator line-up, the 8080, complete the compact line up.
Building on the success of the dedicated Groundcare range, SED showcases the HST 335, one of the five models in the newly launched compact tractor range. Designed to power a range of heavy duty attachments for ditching, loading, hedge cutting, topping, harrowing etc as well as primary grass cutting applications, the compact tractors are set to become indispensable for a wide range of groundcare duties.
The JCB Mini CX 4x4 Series II is a four-wheel drive variant of JCB`s smallest ever backhoe – the Mini CX and will build on its success with improved performance in difficult ground conditions.
The centre-mount excavator has a maximum dig depth of 2.54m and vertical stabilisers to improve digging performance in difficult conditions. The loader end features a 0.25m³ bucket as standard, with the option of a parallel lift for forks, GP and 6-in1 bucket.
