Bandit Industries, Inc. is excited to introduce their latest creation, the 15" diameter capacity Model 1490XP. Bandit began developing this unit after the success of the smaller 12" diameter Model 1090XP drum chipper, introduced in November 2007. The model 1490XP is a smaller, more compact version of the 1290XP. This unit features the same 37 inch diameter drum that is found on all Bandit hand-fed chippers, and is constructed with the same width drum found on the 1090XP. This unit will be more economical for municipalities and tree services looking for a compact, yet rugged 15 inch capacity drum-style chipper.
A large 17 3/4 inch x 18 1/2 inch chipper throat opening easily accommodates large, forked materials. The 1490XP rides on a single 7,000 pound Torflex axle and weighs approximately 6,600 pounds. The patented power slot also comes equipped on the 1490XP virtually eliminating plugging. This slot provides maximum air flow, allowing this unit to full compact end opening chip trucks, significantly reducing transportation costs.
