US to label bad diesel
June 1 is the deadline for US trucking companies that use in-house central refueling operations to comply with federal fuel labeling requirements in connection with the transition to ultra-low-sulfur diesel, according to the American Trucking Associations.

Russia and Belarus to produce diesel together
Belarus and Russia plan to organize joint production of diesel engines. This intention was announced by Prime Minister of Belarus Sergey Sidorsky.
“We cooperate intensively with JSC Zvezda (St. Petersburg), which supplies diesels. These products are effectively utilized in Belarusian industry”, said the head of Belarusian Government.

Cancellation of import duties will make Russia $500 mln poorer
During nine months in Russia import duty for machinery will not be imposed. The governmental regulation has taken effect last Saturday.
Import rates are eliminated for 800 items of technological equipment. This is related to machinery for agriculture, metallurgical industry, woodworking, ship building and aviation. Most part of the equipment is advanced technology production not manufactured in Russia.

Russian manufacturers will need federal funds to meet Euro 5 requirements
The assets of Russian investment fund can be spent on the development of engines with Euro-5 environment standard that is scheduled to be implemented by 2014. The head of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Rosoboronenergo” Boris Aleshin announced it at the Parliament hearing.

Ukrainian authorities to modernize machinery industry in 5 years
Ministers’ Office of Ukraine intends to invest $15 million in development of local machinery industry during 2006 to 2011.
The funding will be fulfilled within the framework of national program of industrial development in 2006-2011 approved by governmental regulation.
