Dynapac has moved with the times by launching a new range of tandem asphalt road rollers. New CC line of rollers has high frequency vibration as standard, together with operation features such as 'soft' starting and stopping to prevent unevenness or cracking in the asphalt layers. This enables the operator to stop and start without leaving marks and, as a safety feature, the machine will drop out of the 'soft' mode and brake immediately if the lever is moved quickly.
An option available for articulated tandem rollers is the Dynapac Compaction Analyser for Asphalt (DCA-A). The GPS receiver provides accurate positioning of the roller, and the system registers the number of passes, measures the surface temperature, and presents the real time information as a graphic display for the operator. Models in the new CC series are powered by Cummins QSB 3.3 water-cooled turbo-diesel engines with aftercooler, and these rollers also have features designed to make servicing quick and easy.
