Dynapac (Sweden) has introduced the LG520 radio remote controlled reversible plate compactor designed for compaction of backfill in pipe and cable trenches, as well as road repair and maintenance work. The new unit offers a high degree of compaction in confined areas of soil and stone materials, as well as building foundations and backfill against supporting walls.

Hamm to introduce asphalt compactors for the US market Hamm (Germany), part of the Wirtgen Group has introduced all 12 model HD Series – HD 8 to HD 130 HV/HD O130V for the US market. The smallest of the HD Series is the 1.45 tonne HD 8. An articulated asphalt compactor that offers vibration in both the front and rear drums, the HD 8 VV has a drum width of 31.5” (800 mm) and a working width of 33.7” (856 mm).
